The Examinacion of George Smyth of Corke {husband} husbandman aged 60 yeares or thereabouts taken the 12th of December 1653
Whoe being duly sworne and examined saieth That hee on Saturday Last cominge vnto his lodging at one Mr Jennetts howse in Thomastreet did being the howse where the deponent Alice Slabagh Mary Austin and honora Shea whoe were summoned for witnesses on the behalfe of the Common wealth vizt Donogh Viscount Muskery vpon his tryall in the High Corte of Justice at Dublin lodged found there in Company with the said Alice Slabagh Mary Austin and honora Shea two parti es men whoe are as this deponent both observed & beleiveth either servant or such as have dependance on the Lord Muskery which said parties men were both in Company with the said women and eating oysters with them whoe desired the deponent to eate with them but hee refused it and conceiued it not fitting either for him or any other witnesses of the Commonwealth againstt the said Lo: Muskery to haue such intimate and private converse with any belonging to the said Lord Muskry vntill the businesse concerning the said Lord had byn fully ended but what discourse but knoweth
