Katherin Canty aged fforty yeares or ther aboutes duely Sworne & examyned Sayth
That shee knowes the said dermod o Mahowne & John Mcdonnogh & further Sayth the said dermod O Mahowne & John Mcdonnogh the Said dermods ffathers brothers Sonn, brought John Phipps to the <A> howse, w h er of this Examynate Liued with Teige ô Muryhe & his wife, being about Easter in the Second yeare of the Warrs, & further Sayth that McCarty Reagh had his Camp one the North Side of the Riuer of Bandon, as this examynate Credibely heard, the Same day that the said Phips was brought to this examynates howse, & further Sayth that the said dermod o Mahowne delivered the said Phips, to the Custody of Nicolas O Moyran & Teige O Murryhee, & Chardged them to keep Saffe the, body of the Said Phips at their perills & further Sayth that about an hower or Twoe after Terrelagh o demus, & Teige o Hea both brogemakers Came into this examynant howse, & Stayed ther vntill the next morneing, This examynant further Sayth that <B> the Said Nicholas Ô Moyran & Teige o Murryhee desired to be excused from watching [ ] the said John Phips being weake and weary, to which the said dermod o Mawhowne answered yow shall not be Longe troubled with him, & Soe went to his owne howse, which was about a quarter of a mile from this examynants howse, & further Sayth that the next Morneing about Seauen or Eight a Clock the said dermod ô Mawhowne & John mcdonnogh Came within a little of this examynants howse & the John mcdonnogh Leaueing, the said dermod Ô Mawhowne abroad, Came into this examynants howse, & tould the said Nicolas Moyran & Teige o Murryhee that dermod o Mahowne

had Commanded them to bring the Said Phips forth which they the Said Nicolas Ô Moyran & Teige Ô Murryhee accordingly did, & led the said Phips towards dermod Ô Mawhowns howse & further sayth that shee heard that the said John mc donnogh and Nicolas Ô Moyran & Teige ô Murryhee hanged the Said Phips that day at a place Called the Currans about A Mile from the Said dermod ô Mawhownes howse, her Cause of Knowledg is that the Said Teige o Murryhee brought the Cloathes of the Said Phips to this examynants howse & further Sayth not
