The examjnacion of Alice Slabagh of Macroome in the County of Corke widdow aged thirty three yeares or thereabouts taken the xijth of december 1653
Who beeing duely examined Saith that on Satturday night last the examjnant beeing at her lodging in Thomastreete and sitting in beeing in the kitchin starching of cloathes, the examjnant was called vppon ster (but by whom shee now remembreth not) and desired to come vpp to the Chamber where shee and Mary Austin and Honora Shea doe vsually lodge, and Comeing vpp to the Chamber shee there found the said Mary Austin, Honora Shea, Phillipp Ring wittnesses for the Coman wealth and a seruant of the Lord of Muskeryes whose name as the examjnant remembreth is Teige Murphy and an other man whose name shee knoweth not but as shee afterwards heard hee was seruant to John Reiredan, and all the said seuerall persons were eateing oysters, and the examjnant did eate some with them, shee saith that whilst they weare eating the said oysters one George Smith came into the roome, but did not eate any oysters, saying hee did not loue them. The examjnant further saith that there was not any discourse past betweene the persons aforesaid concerning

concerning the Lord of Muskery dureing the examjnants stay in the said roome shee saith that shee was credibly heard the said Teige Murphy aske the said Phillipp ô King when hee would goe into Munster for that hee had some busines to send to some of his freinds, which hee would desire the said Phillipp ô King to doe, and that this examjnant conceiues to bee the occasion of the said Teige Murphy and the said John Reiredans seruant comeing to the examjnants said lodgeing as aforesaid, And further saith not,
