The examinacion of Mary Hodnett aged about 30 yeares beinge duly sworne vppon the holy evangilists by vertue of hir Oath saith <A> that at the begeininge of the Warrs this examinantt Lived at Kilbrittan and that shee Knoweth that in about halfe a yeares time ther was executed at Kilbrittaine fovre English men and a youth the Castle then beinge in the possession of Mack Carthy Reagh and Kept by his soldyers then Comanded by one Bryan mc Swyny butt by whose order the men & youth weare executed the deponatt canot say: and further sajth not
