Depositions taken Concerninge Patrick Roach ffitz Richard of PoleAlonge in the Barrony of Kenolen in the yeare 1641
Rich: Cossenes of Kinsale Aged about 20 yeares Sworne and Examined Saith that hee knew the said Patrick Roach and that In the first yeare of Rebellion hee beinge in his Castle att PoleAlonge with A Guard of Irish Souldiers this deponent was then a Soldier under the Comand of Captain Tho: Aderly and present there when the said Captain Aderly demanded the said Castle for the then Kinge and Parliament <q> but the said Roach refused to deliuer itt sayinge the Lord Muskrey had put a Guard there & itt was not in his power to deliuer itt thatt & further saieth nott
