Samuell Smith of Kinsale Gent Aged about 40 yeares beinge Sworne and Examined <1> Saith that hee Liued att Kinsale in the yeare 41, and that hee knew the before Mentioned Roch: and that both hee and his Sonne Liued in the afforesaid Towne and was a Burges therein.
That hee Left the Garrison and went into the Enemyes Quarters at Maccrombe where hee built a defenciue house with <2> two Terrotts for his safety the Cause of this deponents knowledge is that all his Estate was Sequestered and kept in the then Parliaments Custody untill Ormonds Peace this deponant farther Saith that hee saw the aboue mentioned house & farther saith not, Taken before us
