John Arthor of L{is}lee the Barrony of Coursey in the parish of RingeRone Aged 40 yeares beinge sworne and Examined saith that hee Liuinge att Lislee in the Barrony of Ibane in the yeare 1641
That hee knew the afforesaid Hodnett Liuinge att CourtNesherry in the same yeare
That hee might haue Remoued to the English Quarters as diuers others of his Neighbours of English did which hee Refused to doe
That hee Remoued farther into the Irish Quarters and Continued forth duringe the time of Warr
That hee was in Actually in Armes with the Enemy the same yeare
That hee kept CourtNesherry with men and Armes for the Irish against the English that the said said Hodnett and Barry had Comand of att Least 400 men who did oppose A states ship that was Cominge into the Harbour of Courmcsherry
That Hee tooke by uiolence this Deponents goods as also the Catle of Esquire Gookin and diuers other English mens Goods to A uery Considerable uallue and Conuerted them all to his owne useThe Cause of this deponents knowledge isThat the said Hodnett had his two sonnes in Rebellion Viz James his eldest sonne & Robert his two sonnes and A Kinsman of His Likewise by name William; Mr Rich: Hornett
