<Kinsale ffebruary 21th 1653> Depositions taken Concerninge William Barry of LisLee in the Barrony of Ibane in the yeare 1641
Rich: White of Lislee Aged About 46 years beinge Sworne and Examined Saith that hee Liuinge att LisLee afforesaid in the yeare 41
<1)> That hee knew the afforesaid Barry Liuinge att LisLee afforesaid in the yeare 41
<2)> That hee Left this beinge and Remoued into the Irish Quarters
<4)> That hee was in Armes in the Actuall Rebellion and Raised about 150 men against the English
(5)> That hee was in Publique and priuate meettings with the Eneimy
<9)> That hee Comanded all the Irish in Barrier in Armes against the English the same yeare
<11)> That there did liue upon the said Barryes Land of L one Edward Wilkines whoe was Murdered by sume of Barryes Men
<12)> That by force of Armes hee tooke into his Custody from Esquire Gookin and Sum other of the English Goods to the uallue of 3000 li. sterling by his owne Authority and disposed itt to his owne use
The Cause of this deponent knowledge is that hee Liued there and Continued there the Last of the English and saw the takinge of the Goods and knowes the disposinge of a great parte thereof and that by his stayinge to obserue the same had like to loose his Life and further Saith Not
