<Mallow March the 13o 1653> Deposicions taken Concerning John Lombard alias Lombard of Buttevant in the Barrony of Orrery and County of Corke, in the yeare 1643
John Barry of Balliclogh in the Barrony and County aforesaid gent Aged 30 yeares. Being Duly Sworne & Examined Saith,
<(1)> That, hee the said Lombard might haue Remoued into the English quarters as severall English that were his Neighbours did & Did Not,
<(3)> That the Day before the Cesation Concluded on [ ] betweene the Irish & the Earle of Ormond, was Published, hee the said Lombard went with a Party of Armed men from Buttevant aforesaid, and tooke prisoners some English horsemen Belonging to the Garrison of Liscarroll,
That there were some English liuing Neere this Deponent in the yeare (41) aforesaid (Vidz) Nicholas Phillpot Esquire Jonathan Smith Now liuing in or Neere Corke William Burneham, deceased
The Cause of this Deponents Knowledge is. that hee saw an order from some Irish officers in Authority, Directed to the said Lombard for <Roger Donagane & ffrancis Stapleton both liuing at Buttevant> Releasing the prisoners by him taken, and Restitution of their horse & Armes
