<Bandon Aprill 10th 1654> Deposicions taken Concerning Capt Randle oge Hurly in the parish of Balimony in the Barrony of Carbery in the yeare 1641
Anthony Coates of Bandon=bridge in the County of Corke aged about 30 yeares being sworne & examined saith
<(1> That hee was in actuall Armes in the yeare 1641
The Cause of this deponents Knowledge is that hee & some others of the English (in the yeare 1641) were in a strong howse in the Barrony of Carbery & there Came a great Company of the Iresh party & beseiged the howse & would haue forced their entrance the English stood out, & made their Condicions, Mc Carty Reogh Comanding the party in Chiefe & the said Randle oge Hurly Comanded a Company of ffoote vnder him at the same tyme & ffurther saith nott
