The Examinacion of Adam White taken the 13th of 7ber 1652 Against Dauid Rawleigh alias Garuffe
<1> The said Examinant being duely sworne and examined saith that about at Christmas 1641 or thereabouts that the said Dauid Rawliegh came to the lands of Ballyea and with a Company of loose fellowes with him, and thence violently and by force tooke away fiue English cowes price 10 li. ster and further of the deponents fathers proper goods and further saith that about three weeks after (the said Dauid beareinge an old grudge vnto this deponents said father) came to the Ballyea aforesaid and tooke this deponents father Bartholomew White and Thomas White James White and Patricke White three of this deponents brothers (with all the goods in his said fathers house) and carried them to Ballinity and within two hours after hanged them all there but by what order this deponent knowes not his cause of knowledge is that he was in his fathers house when they came and carried him away and if this deponent hadd not made his escape to dunkipp he had bene serued as his father and brethren were
