<A> The Examination of ffarragh o Kelley taken before mee in Aghrim the day & yeare aboue Mencioned
Who saith that in october 1651 or therabouts ther came to the towne of Aghrim thre troupers of the Stats who had bread & beare at the gate & afterwards the said troupers seassed one three cowes neare to the said Castle the cry being raised men Issued forth to rescue the said cowes & apprehended one of the said troupers the Army Liing then neare Killconnell the said trouper was keept prisoner all night in the said Castle of Aghrim & his horse & armes taken from him by Brian Kelley Brother to Teige Kelley of Aghrim & the next Morning the said Brian with this Examinate & Tibboote Coghlan now prisoner went towards the Campe with the said trouper Brian Kelley being Mounted one the said troupers horse & the said trouper Mounted one a garron & this Examinate riding behind him one the said garron & when they ride a Litle way Leading towards the Campe they strooke of the way to the Left hand to a Litle strubbey woode where the said Brian Kelley and this Examinate killed the said trouper by shote with pistole & stobs with skeane this examinate sayeth further that he doth not knowe whether he gaue him the stobe first or the said Brian Kelley the shote & further saith that the said trouper was In an Angle Betwext the said Brian Kelley & <B> Tubbote Coghlan & the Examinate when he when he was Murthered that And further saith that Teige Kelley being from home was Made acquainted with the killing of the said trouper whervpon at the Coming home of the said Teige o Kelley Brian Kelley went away from the said Castle of Aghrim & the said Teige O Kelly sharply reproued the other twoe Actors & further saith not
