The Examinacion of Murtagh Duff Macrissin taken vppon oath the 7th of January 1652
<A> Who being duely examined saith that hee served Mr Henry Bringhurst in the beginning of the Rebellion & that when the English wer on their journey from Castlebarre towards Shrewle being Convoyed by the Lord of Mayo & his son the now Lord with a partie vnder their Comand; and they lay at Ballynecarrow one night where this examinant was with his said Master; & the next Morning this examinant went along with his said Master with the said English, & they lay the next night at Ballinrobe, the next night at the Neale the night after at Killagh & the next day they wer brought backe to Shrewle which was two miles out of their way, & lay at Shrewle that in night; and the next morning the <B> English wer brought over the bridge of Shrewle towards Gallway; & this examinant saw. Thibott Lord Mayo goe with them over the bridge, who was alsoe present with his naked sword in his hand when Mr Bohanon was murthered, but whither hee endeavored to prevent the said murther or no hee knoweth not. And hee further saith that the Convoy that came with the English to Shrewle did fall on them & killed them and further saith not.
