Mr Steeuen Darcy being duely sworne deposeth that about the Latter end of September 1641 the same day that the Murther was Committed at Shrowle this deponent <A> saw William Burk betweene Ballybacah & Kil l ternan with about the number of 20 men Armed with skeynes swords & Pikes of his Tennants & followers (at that tyme there being noe Commander of the Countrey some of which Tennants & followers vizt Miler Mara Tho: Burk of Ballysnihine Hugh รด Dirnan of the same same with diuers others of them this deponent saw at Shrule in Company in Comp with them that Committed the Murther and that they tooke Jewells & Rings from seuerall of the English & Scotish that were Murthered & gaue them to the Chilldren of the said William Burk and further this deponent saith not taken at Gallway September the 25 1652
