The Examinacion of James Bradley of Narrow water in the County downe aged 32 yeares taken before vs the 21th day of May 1653
Saith that he was at Sir William Brownlowes Castle, when it was yeelded vp to the Irish, vpon Condicons that soe manie as would goe to lisnegarvey, should haue a safe Convoy to Carry them alonge, and whoe would stay should dwell safely at ther owne houses, at which time this Examinat saw one <A> Owen Roe mc Keene, with a long fowlinge peece on his shoulde shoulder come into sir William Brownlowes house, whoe notwithstandinge the faire Condicons they had made fell to strip and plunder the Inglish and knockt pusht and thr ew them downe to the ground and about a weeke after as this Examinant was Credibly tould by Calle O Haire since dead that the said Owen Roe mc Keene mett with one Edward Robinson a brother in law, to this Examinant in a townland Called Tyrmiry neere Lurgan and hanged him on a tree and after threw his body into a dich, And ffurther sayth not
