The examinacion of Archbell Johnson of Bleary in Clanconnell in Com: Downe aged fiue & fifty yeares or thereabouts taken at Lisnegaruy 2 May 1653
Who saith being driuen from his habitation at Lesminore vnder Captain Geo: Montgomery by the Irish shortly after the begining of the Rebellion unto <A> Broges Cross being within a mile of Lisnegaruy he saw a party of the Irish coming back from Rich Dobbs house vpon which this examinant went towards John Abrams house to heare what newes & being come thither he found John Abram & those people which were with him stript & also himself sore wounded & they told vnto this examinant what had befalne then & he saith that seeing the Irish goeing away he saw among them then: Hen: Duffe mc Hamell who was one of the party which was there And being demanded if he either saw or heard of any that was kild there by the said party that time saith that it was tould vnto him by John Abram that there was two men kild hard by by the said party which when he saw the slaine bodyes he knew them to be the Corpes of John Spratt & John Smith And further saith not
