<3> The Examinacion of Jennett Service als Hunter als Camill aged eighty years the wife of John Campbell of Ballycastle in the County of Antrim taken before vs the day & yeare first above said
<3:> Who being duely sworne, & examined saith That about the fifth or sixth of January 1641 being soone after the Murder of Portnaw the Countess of Antrim tooke this Examinante & her then husband John Hunter Joyner her old servant into her house of Ballycastle to save their <B> lives, And that about twenty daies thereafter vpon a Sunday one Thomas Robinson was murdred cloose by the Brewhouse neere the house of Ballycastle by one fferragher McKay & Patricke McAhoy & that one Jennett Speir who the same Sunday went through the house of Ballycastle was the said same day murdered by one Dwaltagh McAlester who as this Examinante hath heard was afterwards slaine in Scotland & that he got an eleaven Marke piece out of her Stockins, which Jennett Speir was slaine on the backe of the stable neere the Castlewall And this Examinante further saith That shee see the said Dwaltagh McAllester with diverse others lately before the said Murder <C> committed by him goeing into & out of the said Countess of Antrims house of Ballycastle And this Examinante further saith That about a pistol
