<14> Who being duly sworne & Examined saith That one Donnell Grome McDonnell who was slaine at Glan McQuin saved this Examinants life & kept <A> him in Ballycastle after the Murder at Portnaw And that whilst he was in Ballycastle he heard the Irish generally report & say That Jennett Speir for safety of her life fled vnto the Gate of the house of Ballycastle where the Countess of Antrim lived some few daies after the Murder of Portnaw & that one Dwaltagh McAllester deceased & Patricke McAhoy tooke her from the Gate & carryed her to the back of the said Countesses stable neere the wall of the said Castle & there murdred her And further he saith That he likewise heard <B> the Irish report & say That fferragher mcKay & Patricke McAhoy murdred one Thomas Robinson on the Back of the said Stable & put the same Jennett & him in one grave or hole. And alsoe he saith That he heard the Irish say that one Donnoghy McGuiggan McAwley about the same time had slaine the laird of Treaton Hugh Hill Gilbert Gamill Robert Gamill & fower more at the Port neere Ballycastle And that he heard it alsoe constantly reported by the Irish that Murghie oge McMurghie murdred a woeman at Ballycastle And further he saith not:
