The examinacion of William Burnett of the Parish of Dunneen in the County of Antrim aken before vs the said 14th day of March 1652
<A> <54> Who being duely sworne & examined saith That he dwelt before & at the begining of the Irish Rebellion at Cookstowne two short miles distant from Lissan That he heard that Neile Oge ô Quin now prisoner at Colerane at the very begining of the Rebellion seized vpon Sir Thomas Staples house in Lissan & that soone after the said Neile oge ô Quins men committed a great Massacre vpon the English & Scotch Inhabitants of that Towne And further he saith that he heard it generally reported by the Irish that James McIveagh now prisoner at Colerane murdred Andrew Young in his Owne house in Lissan And further he saith not
