Torlagh McCorry beinge Examined saith that about fiue yeares afore himselfe & one Hugh o Hartan: beinge then boeth souldiers of Capten Spencers Company: was & hauinge bein Neere Lisnegarvey: was as thay went homewards to theyr Garison: boeth taken by six of <A> the Enemy: whoe Carried this deponant & the said Hugh o Harton vnto one knocker McIlrott[gt?] a Cheeife man then of a party of the Enemy what was in the woods: which as some of them said gaue order to Hange them boeth: & then the said Enemy stript boeth this deponant & his Comrade & as thay weere going to Hange this deponant one Torla o Sheele of the said party Cam runing & drew his sword & would not suffer them to Hange this deponant but Hanged the other: then they sad Torlagh took this deponant vnto the said Knocker McRatt: where thay shewed this deponant the Cloethes of one Cormack o Mellen whoe thay had the day before Hanged: askinge this deponant whether he knew the said Cloeths & hee knew the Cloethes as alsoe the fishinge Rodd which the said Cormack o Mellen had: for he tould them that hee was one of his Captaines Company: This deponant did as he saith knowe butt the said Knocker o Mulcatt Torla o Shell & Donell [Mcilicury]: and further saith not
