The informacon of Edward Escott of Carryleamley in the County of Cork clothier taken aged three and twenty yeares or thereabouts before James Gallwan Esquier Maior of Youghall William Kyrnie and Nicholas Bagbere Bayliffs of the same the 4th day of Nouember 1641
Who Deposeth vpon the holy Evangelist, that he was in the Towne of Tallough in the County of waterford, the first day of Nouember last, in the house of Mr Cooper, late <G> Soueraigne of Tallough aforesaid, and he this informer being bidd, to walke vp to supper there, and thervppon coming within the doore, where supper was layd; he heard one, who was called Coronell Barry drincking a health to a lieutenant, vsing theas words; here Lieutenant, here is to yow a health to those blades which wee parted from in youghall, and neuer feare, wee shall haue a tyme good enough to desroy the Scotts, and talke with them all; and then they perceaving this infor informer in the said roome; the said Lieutenant made <H:> a signe to the said Coronell with his hand, and thereupon they spoake not any woord of England concerning the former discourse; that he knoweth, The said Coronell as he supposeth is one of the age of threescoare yeares or thereabouts with grey hayres, wearing a Montyer Capp coloured redd Lyned with plush of that colour Layd thick with siluer Lace, and a light suite of a meddlye colour, as he conceaueth: And further saieth that the said Lieutenant was a man of six or seaven and twenty yeares of age, (as he conceaueth) wearing a sadd coloured suite of cloath, with saidd coloured silke Loopes, and buttens vpon his sleeves. And lastly saieth; that one Humfry Hattway servant to misris Turner of Bandonbridg was in his, this informers company then, and heard the said woords, And further saieth not
