<148> Edward Leech of the Island of Lambay & Lewis Meredith now of the Citty of Dublin gentlemen (in addition to their former examinations) depose & say That whilest they were within the Island aforesaid one Phelix Burne gent a Protestant was in their company there & was then & there robbed & despoiled of his goods & hee & his daughter wife (whoe was & is daughter to this deponent Henry Edward Leech did suffer with these deponents in the Common Calamitie after that he the said Phelix & his wife had escaped from the Rebells in the county of wickloe And further say that when they all came from Lambay aforesaid towards dublin the said Phelix Birne was at or neere Clantarfe soe moved by the insolencies of the Irish Rebells, & of their present abuseing of these deponents, himself, & the rest of English, that hee offered to disarme & vse violence to some of them & would have done it had not these deponents (in respect of their numbers & Arms diswaded him by much earnestnes
