The Examinacion of Shane mc manus of doghaty in the County of Letrim taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight Lord Chief Justice of his Maiesties Court of Common Pleas &c this 6th day of november 1641
This Examinant saith that he was borne at Doghaty in the County <E> of Letrim & that about may was tweluemoneth a brother of his named James mc manus was prest into Sir Frederick Hamiltons Company & this Examinant hearing that his said brother was at Dublin he came to Dublin on yesterday was fortnight beeing friday to see his said brother but found him not heere & upon Saturrday morning he was apprehended hee further saith that he hath noe meanes of livelyhoode but liueth with his Kinsman Cormock ô Cloghy of Dowally in the County of Letrim.
