The Examinacion of Shane mc manus of doghaty in the County of Letrim taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight Lord Chief Justice of his Maiesties Court of Common Pleas &c this 6th day of november 1641
This Examinant saith that he was borne at Doghaty in the County <E> of Letrim & that about may was tweluemoneth a brother of his named James mc manus was prest into Sir Frederick Hamiltons Company & this Examinant hearing that his said brother was at Dublin he came to Dublin on yesterday was fortnight beeing friday to see his said brother but found him not heere & upon Saturrday morning he was apprehended hee further saith that he hath noe meanes of livelyhoode but liueth with his Kinsman Cormock รด Cloghy of Dowally in the County of Letrim.
