The Examinacion of Donnogh mc Goghegan seruant to Conly mc Goghegan of Donore in the County of Westmeath taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight Lord Chief Justice of his Maiesties Court of Common Pleas this 9th day of 9ber 1641.
This Examinant saith that yesterday in the morning his maister <R:> Conly mc Goghegan accompanyed with Brian Goghegan this Examinant & Daniell ô Hurrogho footboy to the said Conly tooke his Jurney from Lacca in the County of Kildare & came yesterday to Dublin about fiue of the clocke in the evening & saith that the said Conly had a sword the said Brian had a sword this Examinant had a sword & a pistoll the said Daniell had a sword a dagger & a pistoll Hee further saith that they lighted at Tieg Connors howse in Sir Francis street & there supped & that there was with them at supper Dermott Cavenagh <S:> & his seruant Morrice Cavenagh Brian ô Hara & donnogh Kego & one Berminghan & an other man who they said was an hostler whose name he knoweth not And he saith that after supper they beeing drinking of beere they were apprehended by the Officers of the Citty all except Birmingham & the Hostler & he saith that he doth not know of any other busines his said Master had to Dublin but only to tender his seruice to the Lords Justices & State
