The Confession of John o Line (in the first Cessacion that was made with the Irish Rebbles), Concerneinge the d Murther of Humphry Wills:
Inprimis: The said John ô Line Confessed before John fforacre, and Teige mc neMara one of the <A> Lord of Inchequines Troope, that hee killed the Said Humphry wills as he was Reapeinge in a feild of wheat of his owne:
Hee Confessed at Duglas to Tho: Hayes as aforsaid; and boasted howe that with one Blowe; (with a Swoard that then hunge by his Side hee Cleift the said Humphryes head in Two;
Hee Confessed the Last night at his apprehendinge, that hee Killed the said Humphry but that hee did not Strike the first blowe; the which Can be proued by divers witnesses:
