Dame Ann Colly widow the late wife of Sir Henry Colly Knight of Castell Carbery in the County of Kildare duly sworne & examined before vs deposeth that shee was robed & depriued by means of the present rebellion, and since it begane of her goods & chattells as followeth; In oxen, Cowes, sheepe, swine, geldings one mare & coult to her losse of 568 li. In Corne in the howse & sowne in the ground 500 li. the burning of her house in Corberye to her & her son & heirs losse, which cost 2000 li. at Least, a bond payable by Robertt Harpoll who is now in rebellion, which shee conseaueth to bee 500 li. or thereabouts In houshould goods rings, Juells, & wearing apparell 1110 li. and is in danger to Loose the yearly proffitts of her ioynture being 433 li. per Annum vntill a peace be setteled: soe that the whole losse which this deponent sustayned by means of the present rebellion amounteth to the summe of fower thousant six hundered seuenty eight pounds ster: besides her yearely losse vntill a peace come <A> And saith that the partyes that soe robed & despoyled her weare Lewes moore of the County of Kildare Garott fitz garott a Coptaine of the rebells of the same County Edward Brimidgham of the Carige, Luke Brimidgham of parsons towne, one Brimidgham of Ballindrimny a freehoulder: charles Brimidgham of the grange: Rowen a masse preist, and one Knowells a masse preist; & further saith that when they violently entered her castle they said that they seised her goods and Chattells by Roger moors directions who (as they said) gaue comaund to put all that were there to the sowrd, And that she had a great favor to be permitted, herselfe, & children to depart with their Liues: And alsoe the said Rebells bloudily murthered 3 of her servants in her howse, as soone as she came in, which she <B> conceiveth they did Becawse 3 of the Rebells (as she heard) were killed vpon their attempting her howse: And sajth That one Plunckett a massepreist, came to her with a message from Preist Rowen which was that vnles she would shew & discover where her plate was hidd That her sonne & heire Dudley Colley should at that instant tyme suffer, and herselfe be putt to her oath: And if after any plate should be found by them that they would putt her to death Wherevpon she was constrained to shew where her plate was, which by them was taken away at that tyme
