Emanuell Beale Curate of Mountrath in the Queenes Countie vnder Mr Holmesteed dulye sworne & examined saith that about a moneth before Christmas he was robbed and dispoyled by fflorence ffitzpatricke and his Rebellious Companye of the goods followinge vizt of Cowes worth iij li. x s. In garden stuffe as potatoes and other necessaries iij li. and in goods in his howse by reason of their e suddaine Risinge ij li. x s. amountinge in all to ix li. And further deposeth that fflorence and his Company did digg vpp many Coffins and other dead bodies and dead mens bones of protestants in the parish Church of Mountrath otherwise called Clonnagh for others they thought and some of his Company did murther a gentleman <symbol> and his wife one Mr. Nicholson, to whome fflorence gaue a passe promisinge that they should goe on theire Journey peaceably and yet were murthered and a greate some of money that they had taken from them togeather with very fayre and costlye clothes. All which as this deponent heard for certeine were after carried to the said fflorence his wife And that this wicked Company haue shewed noe mercye nor had any pittie vpon poore English people; and But that they hanged many and stript an infinite number of women and Children in the Cold which haue died through the same.
