The Examinacion of Matthewe mc Kely heardsman Coweboy taken the day and yeare aforesaid
<f> Who being examined and sworne to so much as concerneth others, sayeth that his place of dwelling was at Richardstowne neere Clongowes wood and that hearing came the noise of the english army comming on saturday morning last he first ranne to the wood of Clongowes but thinking himselfe not save there he afterwards ran to the castle where they let him in and denieth that he fought in the Castle but hid himselfe under the bed when he was in the Castle or bore any armes but hid himselfe under a bed all the time the fight was, and further speaketh not materiall to any question demaunded of him.
