The Examinacion of William Hanraghan aged 22 years or therabouts taken the 27th of August 1652
<A> The said Examinant sworne & examined saith, that he did know that he saw an Englishman att Brittas about a fortnight since, who was brought out of a howse in the said towne but by whom in particular he knoweth not, he not being then presente, & carried him about a mile from Brittas when he was murthered by Henry Archer, Being demaunded how he did know of the said Englishmans being ther att Brittas he saith <symbol> that Thomas Rafter of Oldtowne told this examinant & other to some of the soldiers that ther was such an Englishman ther who was a Spie and an Enemye to them, whervpon they seised vpon & executed him; being asked who was present when the said Englishman was murthered he saith Edmond Roshanan James o Mayry William ffogerton John Magher, Thomas Grace ther Ensigne William Boalan Henry Archer this examinant with othe & Edmond O Carroll; being asked by whose orders the said <B> Englishman was executed, he saith that Thomas Grace ther Ensigne being then presente in the place gaue lycense to the souldjers to doe with him the said Englishman what they would, whervpon they presently fell vpon him & murthered him: And further saith not
