Lines 5-15, addition: ‘vnderwritten annexed sent and deliuered vnto him from the Erle of Castlehaven, which followeth in theis wordes vizt Sir I never heard That you have done any hurt vnto any of our people either in killing or pilligeing: yet forasmuch as your Castle may be availeable for the Common good. I would have you deliver the said Castle vnto Captain Tho: Davills for his Maiesties vse, quietly; before you give me cawse to draw any Artilery unto it, And I would not have you thinck, that I (in the least matter) intend your preiudice but be assured of faire quarter & honorable vsage’
