The examjnation of John Heard, taken before us the Dl Huthinson & Jo: Byss Esquires the 24o no: 1652
the sayd examinant beeinge duly sworne & examined sayth that about the same day or a day or two after the murder don at the furrows this examinant was at sprecklestowne, & hee sawe about fiue or six horsmen vpon the land of the wood neer Sprecklstowne, & amongs those horsmen sawe one that had a sute of Clothes Clothes that this examinant Conceiued to bee Captain Blundells Clothes this examinant hauinge heard that Captain Blundell was latly before killd at or neer the ffurows, and this examinant sayth that one francis dillon (of Sprecklstowne, beinge with this examinant & seeinge the said horsemen Caled to them & bade them to stand off, caleinge to them (in Irish, the sayd thow Charles son stand off and afterwards this examinnat was tould that It was one pat keregan that had the sayd sute of Clothes on
<on, & this examinant sayth that after hee soe did see the sayd Clothes, hee was enquiryinge, & deserous to know, which of the toryes, by name, had them for in Regard the sayd Captain was a louinge freind of this examinant, this examinant was Resolued to bee the death of him that had kild him, & further sayth nott.>
