The ex of John Kelly of Readstowne neere Dengen in the Coun of Meath taken the day & & year aforesaid
The said Examinate beeing duly sworne & ex by vertu of his oath sayth that he doth know Edward Wisly theis eight or night nine yeares past & deposeth sayth that he this deponent was on the 17th day of March before Dungan hill fight in the howse of Richard

Richard Gowney in Dengen in Company with Gerrott Wisly, Robert Taath both deceased, Walter Cusacke then of the Dengen Robertt Cusacke of the same Peirce Rattigan of the same Dearmott mc Kill Patricke of the same & Edmond Gerroght, where the said Edward Wisely wa s then was waiting vpon his master Gerritt Wisly in the said howse from noone tell midnight & that during all that tyme he did observe that the said Edward Wisly never departed the howse neither did he this deponent see the said Wisly have any Coat or Cloake of frise, otherwise then he the said Edward wo re wore Constantly formerly & he further deposeth that he did not hear the said Edward Wisly either then or at any other tyme say that or bragge that he had gotten any such Coat or Cloake from any English soulder or other, neither did he hear him or any other say that ever he the said Edward killed any man & he likewise deposeth that he never heard any such thing Concerning the Coat or Cloake now propounded vnto him vntell after the falling out of <d> Walter Cusacke & the said Edward Wisly & the said Examinant beeing further <des> demanded how long Robertt Cusacke aforesaid remaind in Company with this Examinant & the rest as mentioned aforesaid, deposeth that the said Robertt Cusake beeing overtaken in drinke went into the haggard about fall of the night, & came not to this Examinate & the rest of the Company vntell they departed the said howse which was betweene 12 & one a clocke of the said night & this deponent further sayth that he hard the next morning that the said Robertt Cusacke lost his cloake during the tyme of his beeing a sleepe in the haggard aforesaid, & further sayth not.
