The examination of Jhon Quin be neckename Jhon Nassie made before me the 16th of March 1652 [vizt] as followeth by orders from Capten Richard Edmonds
first the said Jhon did confess that he was one of the three that tooke three yong men goeing for furradge, prissoners and caried them a way vntill they found a convenient place where they murdered two of them, and they saued the third, as he sayeth by his meanes
<item> he further sayeth that in their way thee mett with six or 7 of the Inhabitants of the Barronie of Rathconrath whose names he did not know, onlie Henrie Dalton of Lisnecaskie and Roger Daniell who is not to be found, the said Henrie named the rest whereof two are in restraint, The said Jhon further sayeth that meeteing those men, they enquired where they found those prissoners did at their departing advise them to kill the said prissoners, or else they should be undo{ne} and further sayeth not, onelie some robories, as of Donogh Carbry and Robert white and others etc.
