The examinacion of Christofer Murphie of Duncormock aged 40 yeares concerning the aforesaid William Esmond & Peter Esmond, taken vpon oath,
Saith That hee this examinant was at the begining of the rebellion servant to Mr Nicholas Maylor of Duncormock & about Christmas 41 the said Maylor went as a Cap of a Company against Duncanon ffort, & as Lt Coll to Peirce Butler vnder whom this examinant marched as a private soldier, & shortly after was made a Sergeant to Capt Tho: Roch in the service of the Irish against Duncanon, where hee contynued halfe a yeare or thereabouts, In which tyme hee saith hee did <m> often see William Esmond both afoote & on horseback with his sword by his side Acting & ioyning with the Irish against the English then in the fort of Duncanon & this examinant further saith That the said William Esmond was present when a partie of the English that had beene towards Dungulpe, were on theire return mett with by the Irish, & killed, with their Comander Lieuetenant Treviso, the said Esmond being then Actuall in that service,
