The examinacion of John Keating of Baldenstowne gent aged thirty one yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath Concerning the foresaid Luke Keating of Kilcowan gent deceasd
vpon the whole matter of the Interrogatoryes the examinant deposeth & saith that the said Luke Keating dwelt in the County of wexford in the Irish quarters, the first year & the whole time of the rebellyon till he dyed, And further saith that the said Luke in the first beginning of the rebellion, plunder with some men in Armes <t> in his Company, plundered some certaine cattle with from about New Rosse, bellonging to some english therein. The deponents cause of knowledge is for that one Thomas Clarke who lost some cattle from about Rosse at that time serued Mary the relict of the said Luke with proces to appere at Dublin, & thereupon the said Mary Compounded with the said Clarke & gaue her him ten poundes in liew & satisfacion of the said Cattle, as she the said Mary told & Informed this deponent & further cannot depose
