The Examinacion of Robert Browne of Knockingall yeoman aged thirtie yeares or thereabouts, taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning John Cullin of Cullinstowne gent lately deceased vpon the Interrogatoryes annexed to the Comission of enq{uiry}
<To the 1st inter> The Examinant Deposeth that the said John dwelt in the first yeare of the rebellion at Loughnegeere in the County of wexford in parcell of his the said Johns estate, & afterwardes the said John dwelt at Cullinstowne aforesaid during his life & that the said John did not remooue into the english quarters <a> as seauerall protestants in the said County did: His cause {of} knowledge is for that the deponent was diuers times at the seauerall habitacions of the said John at Loughnegeere, & Cullinstowne aforesaid
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The deponent saith that the said John did in the first yeare of the Rebellyon contribute his person in Armes, for the Irish against the english, & did act & abet the said rebellyon & the Robberyes therein Comitted in the first yeare thereof Th{e} deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent did see the said John Cullin in Armes among the Irish that layd seige to <b> Duncannon forte then kept by the Lord Esmond at Christm{as} (1641: & seauerall tymes after, & that this deponent did likewise see the said John at that time as alsoe about the first of March 1641: personally engage with the Irish in fighting against the english that made seauerall sallyes out of the said forte, & the deponent further saith that the deponent hath seen th{e} said John Cullin with Dermot mc Dowling & his partie at ffetherd plundering the english & protestants there, & the{n} this deponent did see the said John with the said Dermot mc Dowling{s} said partie on the landes of Loughnegeere sharing of a prey of cattle taken from the english, within the said first yeare But this deponent doth not know of any office th millitary that the said John, then or at any time after had
