The examinacion of Captain Edward Allen his M of Kinsale
<1> Beinge duely sworne and examined deposeth & sath that he this deponent haueinge a Comaund as Ensigne of a Company att Castllyons one Ann Richard Seller Came from Kilinecurragh when and tould him that her ffather mother Sister and three servants were murdered in their owne house and that she made an Iskape escape by lyeing in a ditch wherevpon the next morneinge this deponent went with a partie of <A> foote and found that that which the sayde Ann had tould him to be true and that he with his Company brought of twoe or three or foure of the Corps and that he did see that the Corne was Carryed vpp to the house wherein Mrs Bryan widdow relict of Teige of Bryan deceased of kilnacurragh liued his Cause of knowledge is for that he did see the Corne & some wooden vessells scattered betwixt the house where the murder was Comitted and the house wherein the sayde Mrs Bryan liued, and that shee vtterly with her famil y servants d and such as were in the Castle would not suffer this deponent or any of his party to Come in And further sayth not
