The examination of ffeeneen O Donnevane alias Glibbon beinge duly examined & sworne
<A> Saith, that at the begininge of the warrs he beinge seriant to maccartie Reagh, was Commaunded to Downedannel by mc Cartie to Oversee the three plowed Lands & beinge there, there came one Donnogh mc ffeeneene, to Commaund as Liut in that Castle, being sent by McCartie, & saith that hee sawe three men brought into the Castle, which were afterward hanged whose names were Richard Coomes the Elder & Richard Coomes the younger & John Baker & further this examinant saith; that Richard Coomes the younger gaue them tenn pounds to saue his life which money they receiued, but notwithstandinge hanged him, & likwise saith that others of the Cuntrie say that this examinant had seven pound for his share, & that when they went for the tenn pound, they tooke fiue & twentie pound more from him, this deponent further saith that McCartie Reagh Came there that night about supper time & this deponent told him what they had done at which hee seemed to be angrie & asked this deponent whither he had any hand in the businesse who: answered he had not, at which the the said mcCartie was was verrie glad, to the vallue of his horse, but hee never heard that ever he punished, or Imprisoned anie of them for it;
