Owen McDonogh Carthy aged Sixty yeares or ther aboutes duely Sworne & Examyned Sayth
That in the Spring tyme either in the yeare 1642 or in <A> the year 1643 this Examynant was present at Manshy where John oge Crowly, with about twoe more, brought John Phips prisoner to McCarthy Reagh, whoe was then their with about one hundred Gentlemen Souldiers, & others Inhabitants, & presented the Said John Phips to the sayd McCarthy, And further Sayth, that about three howers <A> after according to his best Remembrance, goeing from the Manchshy to his owne house, thither this Examynant overtooke dermod รด Mawhowne alias Nenagh with the said John Phips (and as he veryly thinketh one man More in his Company, but what, the other man was this Examyant Cannot as he sayth Nowe Call to mynd, This Examynant further sayth that he went about A Mile with them, & departed from them to his owne howse, & further Sayth not.
