<x 11> James Ennis mc Teige mc Ennis of ffrehan aged 36 yeares or thereabouts, being sworne & examined saith that he was vpon Garry Lucas land when certaine eight irish Rebells that <A> came fu from Kilbrittan went to Mr John Stepneys house & carryed him the said Stepne vpon Carnyes land & where the y there murthered him, but this deponent was not present at the murther but did underestand & he was informed that Cormucke o Dayly mc Carty Reas taylor was one of them, & this deponent saw one Teige Roe Skannell whoe he well knew in the Reare of the Company after they had that murthered him, and this deponent saw the said Mr. Stepney after when he was murthered & further saith not
