The Examinacion of Allez Slabye daughter to Ellesebethe Hussey taken 7ber the 17 1652
This Examined saythe that she Liued at Maccromp at the tyme when her Mother, brother, and sister with severall others was sentt from Maccrompe towards Corke, with a convoye which donoughe o Reardon comanded As she haue heard it theay wear sentt a waye vpon som informaci=on that Ollefer Halye should Giue to McCartey Reaghe in the absence of the Lord of Muskereye And as soone as the Lorde of Lorde of the Muskerye came home, he sentt Edmond mc Swine to Giue her warninge to begon next daye, vpon which she wentt to speacke the Lord for a pase who answererd she should haue a pase as others had, vpon which she replyed and sayed that she desired to Liue with her daughter beinge she was not Charge{able} and that if she had not his passe, she feared her Life should be taken awaye, And that she had as Good theay sould kill her whear she was but, his answear was that there was Neyghbors anoughe <B> that should Goe with her, And that he would not haue any sutche waspes slepe in his bosom next morninge she went on her Jornye with severall others that wear willinge to Goe in her Companye, in regarde her daughter was Marryed to an Irishe man which was to Goe in parte of the Convoye;
She further saythe that as she heard doctor Haley stayed A nayler & a Coylyer neer kellmorye Churche who sayed he had need of them to worke; but soone after theay wear hanged, and further she saythe not.
