The Examinacion of Teige McCruoly of Coolynipishee taken the 13th of September 1652
Sayeth: That he well remembreth that about the begining of the Troubles Robe Robert Scott with his wife & three daughters went <A> to donnough mc dearmond of Curryclough with his aforesaid wife & daughters & o ther s for safe guard where he continued for some short tyme, and from thence (for what cause this Examinant knowes not) removed to William Murfew’s of CloughmaCowe & there continued for some short tyme vntill aboute Easter; about which tyme the said Scott was taken <A> from the Murfews house by night, & carried to Ballymeehill, where he & his wife & one daughter were hanged & the other two slaine by the way: This Examinant further sayeth, that the next day he sawe the bodyes of those three that were hanged throwne into a sawe pitt & some Mosse throwne vpon them: And this Examinantt being de further sayeth that he heard it was Phillip O Realigg neare Munnygarffe, Teige O Realigge of Ballymyhill & Katherine O Realigge of Ballymihill that committed the foresaid Murther: And this Examinantt further sayeth that he heard it reported that Murfewe was consenteing to the foresaid Murther. And further sayeth there was two or three persons more in the Act whose names he well remembers not, and are dead as he is informed: And further sayeth not:
