<1.> Phillipe Ringe Examined saithe that he liued at Blarnye wher the widow Husse was murthered beinge of the convoy <A> The same daye Rittchard Slabye requested sent for donough o Rerredon that comanded the same to Convoye the English his mother safe to Corke who promised he would convoye her within halfe a mile, vpon which Ritt Slabye cam awaye
He further saithe that she being an acquantance of theirs his Master Patrick Tomyes, theay did Goe to see her vpon the waye, but theay mett with donoughe a quarter of a mile from Blarnye who carried them backe, sayinge to them that she was in Corke by thatt tyme
The same nighte this Examinat was to Goe <B> vpon the Garde as Corporall, and wantinge donough Langen, he asked Donough Reardon for him, whoe toulde him he had sentt him a longe with the Companye to Corke, And about the falling of the nighte, this langen cam backe, and Phillipe asked him if he convoyed the widow safe, whoe answered he ded and about mednight, this Examinant saythe that he Goinge the Roundes, founde this Langan drinckinge & quarrellinge, and he rebuckinge him; the said Langan would haue had him in to drincke, but he refused, and <C> made him the said Langan to com out to his dutye, after which he wentt into the house and founde the clothes of the widdow, vpon which he inquired of donoughe Langan, if she was kelled, & who ded it, who said she was kelled

<D> And he was on thatt did it, this Examined asked him who was with him; who answered no bodye but Morto oge Reardan; <Liue at Castell Ashincke with John mc William oge Reardon> whoe would haue saued the daughter of the said widow but could not as he swore,
vpon the next morninge this Examinat And Patrick Tomye hyred another man, and wentt to burye the widow, whoe theay found aboute halfe a myle from Blarnye betwext the two hilles with her sonn & daughter murthered, And aboute a Muskett shott further, theay founde, al{even?} more all striped, which theay there buried to Gether with the widow and her children and further he saithe nott
