John Mathewes of Kinsale Aged about 46 yeares beinge sworne and Examined saith that hee knew Rich: Roach fitz Dauid and that <(2)> hee was Sof Raine of Kinsale the said Second yeare of the Rebellion and the same yeare went forth into Rebellion, & about a yeare after was taken prisoner by the forces of Kinsale the Cause of the deponents knowledge is that he saw him brought prisoner to Kinsale fort when Capt Brockett was Gouernor there & farther saith not
