Phillip Ward of the Parish of Drumlane in the Countie of Cavan yeoman sonne of William Ward of Aghareah in the Countie of Monaghan nere the Drumme husbandman deposeth beinge duly sworrne deposeth That about 12 weeks sithence these this deponents said father William Ward by or by the meanes of the Rebells was robbed and dispoyled of his goods and meanes of livelyhood to the hereafter mencioned vizt in Cattell 30 li. Corne 15 li. houshold stuffe 15 li. ready mony and Clothes 10 li. debts 52 li. his interest of a lease and of his house and land in Agarea worth 40 li. in all amounting to 152 li. or thereaboutes And this deponent saith that the reason why his said ffather hee thus deposeth in the behalfe of his said ffather is because his father is an old decrepit man of [ ] 74 years of age & by reason thereof hee could not Come to dublin but was forced to stay amongst the Rebells where hee is exposed to theire pleasure and this deponent knowes not what they haue doune with him Also this deponent saith that there by reason of this rebellion fore of this deponent and 4 other of his brethren sonns of the said William Ward were banished from there habitacions & meanes with their wives and Children and 6 of there Chi Children are starved to death by this Rebellion & some others of their Children ready to give vp their breath being almost starved
