<Mallow March 7th 1653> Depositions taken Concerninge Daniell ó Ceiffe Alias o Keiffe of Drumagh in the Barrony of Dwohallow and County of Corke in the yeare 41
ffrances Bettrige of Corke Aged about 50 yeares beinge Sworne and Examind Saith that hee Liued att Mallow in the yeare 41 that hee knew the afforsaid Ceiue Liuinge as afforesaid the Same yeare
That hee was in Actuall Armes with the Eneimy the Same yeare
The Cause of this deponent knowledge is that hee beinge a prisoner with the Eneimy after the takinge of the short Castle in Mallow and Saw the afforesaid o Ceiue walkinge cominge into the Castle of in which this deponent was taken duely amongst the Eneimy and did promise this deponent that hee should haue one trunk to his owne use of what goods this deponent had then taken from him butt did not performe his promise and farther saith Nott
