<Bandon Aprill 9th 1654> Depositions taken Concerninge Dermond Mc Teige McDermond Alias Carthy of InseneKaly in the Barrony of Muskrey in the yeare 41
Samuell Moore of Bandon in the County of Corke Aged about 58 yeares being Sworne & Examind Saith
That the afforesaid Carthy was in Actua{ll} Armes in the yeare 41 and that he{e} had a Sonne that was Likewise in Actua{ll} Armes which Sonne is sithince gone for Spaine
The Cause of this deponent Knowledge is that hee Liued Neere the afforesaid Carthy in the yeare 41 that hee hath often see{ne} the afforesaid Carthy in Actuall Armes & was the Cheifest Acter in that County for that this the deponent was present when the Lor{d} of Muskrey Questioned the afforesaid Carthy for Sufferinge his men to abuse & plunder the English att which Bandon and Corke Contrary to the said Muskreys Ingagement to the Lord Musk { rey } Inchiquin & farther Saith not
