Robert Barton of Newtowne alias Castlecoole in the parish of Drummully halfe Barrony of Coole and County of ffermanagh Blacksmith Aged threescore and ffive yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne deposeth that he was Robed of and Lost the ffive & twentieth day of October last One lease of a house, shopp & Backside in Newtowne for e l Eleaven yeares from May day last houlden vnder the demise of John Wensloe att & under the Annuall or yearely rent of twenty shilings and the household goods belongeinge to the said house worth thirty five pounds, In Iron horseshowes, Nayles, Anvill & other things in the shopp worth seaven pounds, in weareing apparell worth ffower pounds in dewe debts worth fifteene tenn <1> pounds tenn shilings in ready mony fifty shillings Coles worth xl s ., in All Amounting to the <lxvj li.> some of fifty six poundes tenn shilings sixty five ponuds three score & six powndes By & by the <a> meanes of Captain Rory Magwire of hassetts towne in the Barrony of Lurge & County aforesaid Donagh Magwire of the Barrony of Maghare Staphany in the said County Esquire unckle to the Lord Magwire, Richard Newgent Esquire father in lawe to the said Lord Maguire & diuerse others Irishmen to the Number of ffower hundreth or thereabouts that did rise into Rebellion with the said Captaine Rory & the rest And further deposeth that he did (the said day) see Leiftenant William Greaham of Lisnemallett in the <b> Barrony of Clankelly & County aforesaid, Ambrose Carleton kinseman to the said Leiftenant Archiball Johnson sonne in lawe to the said Leiftenant (and diverse other Scotchmen with them) in Company with the said Captain Rory and the rest of the Rebells And that the said Rebells did not anyewise Medle with or Molest them, And further deposeth that some

Irish Rebells neare vnto Virginia in the way towards Kells did stripp this deponent & sayd that they had a Newe kinge and had Commission from him for what they did. And further deposeth that he heard that the said Captaine Rorye or some of his Company had Murthered of the said <T> parishoners to the Number of fforty or thereabouts
