Daniell Ô Brian aforenamed was he says he thincks it was becawse the said Daniell had formerly been in the said Castle amongst the English & soe conceaved them to him to have been their enemies: Howbeit this deponent saith that the said Daniell bore noe Armes when he was in the said Castle but stayd onely as servante to the Erle of Thomond or for saffetie of their his liffe whilest they were ther he was there But becawse his family was among the Rebells And becawse also the said one Teige or Dermott Roe had (as this Examinant thincketh his family also amongst the Rebells, they both therefore gott out of the said Castle of Bunratty: & soe were taken by som{e} of the Irish Army that beseeged the said Castle & by them were hanged before the Castle as this deponent hath credibly heard & verely beleeveth
