The Informacion of William Jones Corporall to Capt: Eyres troope taken this third day of May 1653
William Jones this deponent Sayth that In December last 1652 this deponent and others of Capt Eyres troope was Comanded to the Iland of LoughLum and vpon the way within a Mile of the Said Iland were Sett vppon by the Said Ensigne <A> Connor and ther otheres Commanded by the Said Ensigne Lieftenant att which tyme the Said Ensigne and the rest of the Irish party tooke prissoner one Richard Byford one of the Same troope and doth verily beleeue that the Said Ensigne and his said party did giue the Richard Byford Quarter and beeing demanded the Reason of his Knowledge is that hee did See the Said Richard Byford Carred away by the Said Irish party for About twoe Miles vpon the Said Bogg after that the Said Bifoord was dissarmed by the Said Ensigne and his party And hee Sayth that hee heard by the generall Relacon of the Contry that the Said Ensigne did Kill the Said trooper And further hee cannot depose
